Student Resources

As an organization, PSGSC understands there are often times where a deeper connection is needed by a student, another layer of community, in order to feel more at home here at UW – Madison. To help our students, below are other organizations and student identity groups whose focus is also fostering community among like minded individuals.

Other Registered Student Organizations at UW – Madison:

Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS)

Mentorship Opportunities in Science & Agriculture for Individuals of Color (MOSAIC)

Student Identity Groups:

If you are looking to connect with peers who have had similar experiences, consider joining a Student Identity Group, run by our Student Identity Liaisons. Students can connect with their liaisons and/or group members for support, resources, or advocacy. Liaisons will also collect contact info of students and create whatever community space is desired, whether it’s group chats or Slack channels, regular meetings, or just a list of emails.

Here are our identity groups, their graduate student liaisons, and their contact information:

International student group: Maxwell Chibuogwu (chibuogwu@wisc.edu

Queer, LGBTQIA+, or non-cis student group: Francisco Campos Arguedas (camposargued@wisc.edu)

Don’t see a student identity group for you? Think about starting one! Reach out to PSGSC for more information.
